Exterior
Mazda SUV СХ-5 series is a mid-priced vehicle with compact overall dimensions suitable for city and cross-country tours. The new model has got exclusive air inlets and plenty of clear-cut elements.
The front body has a distinct A-line chrome plated mesh grille, slim and extended headlights.
The body kit can boast of additional air inlet that creates a slim line right below the grille and few side cutouts for effective brake cooling.
The side view of 2019 Mazda CX-5 demonstrates perfect aerodynamics of the roof slightly sloped to the back, hood’s straight sporty profile, better-sloped windshield, wide B and C pillars, perfectly cut wheel arches, and nice side moldings.
The rear body has undergone few changes, including smaller back windshield, a small lip spoiler on the roof, the new design of boot lid, exclusive rear lights with a unique form, enlarged rear bumper skirt with twin exhaust.
Interior

Body dimensions are quite typical to the compact SUV (4545х1840х1690 mm). Dry weight is ranging between 1365 and 1629 depending on the configuration. Effective trunk volume makes 550l, while clearance is 210mm.
The front-wheel drive vehicle with new-generation all-wheel-drive system i-ACTIV AWD can be fitted with 2.0 and 2.5l gasoline engines of 150 and 211 hp respectively. Alternatively, 4WD models are fitted with efficient 2.2l diesel engine of 175hp.
The test drive proved the stable performance of the front-wheel drive vehicles, fuel efficiency in highway and city modes (7 and 9 l respectively). The manufacturer is going to expand the range of engines installed on Mazda thanks to innovative solutions.
The model will be equipped with traditional 6-speed manual transmission, while ATM version will be available as an option.
Price:
For models with front-wheel drive, estimated base price is $25,500 for the 2019 CX-5 Sport, $27,500 for the Touring, and $31,000 for the Grand Touring at $31,000. Add $1,300 to each for all-wheel drive.
When will it come out?
Release date for the 2019 CX-5 is expected in fall 2018.
